I feel bad about not posting anything, so here’s a watercolor Saddle-Billed Stork. Their beaks are awesome.
Went to the Baltimore Zoo today, and these guys were staying very still. Also, there was a convenient ledge at a decent height that I was able to utilize to make a more fully rendered sketch.
Watercolor-15ish minutes.
I know I’ve been MIA. The reasons are I’ve been working a crazy amount at both of my jobs, and I’ve been working on illustrating a short story. The first 2 took much longer than I expected, partially because of procrastinating/rage quitting and partially because of inexperience with the medium. The 3rd one (in the middle) is going exponentially faster and better. Hopefully that’s a pattern for the rest (8 more after this).
I have soooo many ideas of stuff I want to draw, paint and post. I haven’t been working on anything else for fear of getting distracted and taking a million more years than I already am to work on this project.
So I’m going to try to finish the middle one tonight and work on another tomorrow morning. A plumber is coming at 7am so I actually have to get up before work. Lol
Thanks for everyone’s patience!
Posting for daytime crowd since I can’t reblog my original post. If you could reblog this it’d be much appreciated.
For anyone curious, this has been my general set up lately. Sorry for crappy pic, phone died so I used my web cam and was trying to keep Magic in the shot. I have perfectly fine desks and my easel (who I got from older-and-far-away) has functioning legs, I just like the floor. lol
Finished my painting of my oc Floppers. Jerk that he is. lol
This is my floor nest of cuddles and productivity brought possible to you via new laptop :D
Doodle of one of my dogs: Phin. We like to joke that he’s a little prince cause he likes perching on pillows and cushions.
